Bin2Win is an innovative smart waste management system designed to promote recycling habits and environmental awareness through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and automation technology. The system utilizes RFID touch card verification to identify users before waste disposal activities are recorded. Once the user is verified, an AI-powered camera automatically detects and classifies the type of waste inserted into the bin, such as plastic bottles, paper, cans, or other recyclable materials.
To ensure accuracy and prevent misuse, the system incorporates ultrasonic and weight sensors to confirm that an actual waste item has been deposited into the bin. All data including user identity, waste category, disposal frequency, time, and reward points are stored in a cloud-based database for real-time monitoring and analysis. Additionally, the information is automatically transmitted to the administrator through Telegram notifications, enabling efficient data collection and management.
Bin2Win aims to encourage responsible waste disposal practices in schools and communities by introducing an interactive and reward-based recycling experience. The system supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). By combining AI recognition, smart verification, and digital data management, Bin2Win offers a modern, scalable, and eco-friendly solution for future smart school and green community initiatives.
