Abstract
SHINE (Solar Harnessing for Instant Natural Energy) is an innovative portable solar charging system designed to provide sustainable, reliable, and accessible energy for daily and emergency use. Built on the PARS concept (Portable, Affordable, Reproducible, and Sustainable), SHINE addresses the growing need for clean energy solutions, especially for travellers, outdoor users, and communities with limited electricity access. The system utilizes high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) panels to convert sunlight into electrical energy for charging electronic devices. SHINE 3.0, the latest improved version, includes a rechargeable battery storage system that allows energy to be stored and used during night time or cloudy weather, functioning as a portable power bank. SHINE also features fast-charging technology, an emergency LED light, and adjustable brightness control that allows users to switch between high and low light intensity depending on their needs. Its compact, lightweight, foldable, and weather-resistant design enhances portability and practicality in various environments. By promoting renewable energy usage and reducing dependence on fossil fuels, SHINE contributes towards lowering carbon emissions and supporting environmental sustainability. The project aligns closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). SHINE demonstrates how simple yet impactful innovation can provide practical green energy solutions while supporting a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable future.
