This study focuses on redesigning the Sejarah textbook to enhance its usability and appeal, utilising a multisensory approach to accommodate diverse learning needs. A comprehensive survey conducted with students, teachers, and parents identified key challenges in the current textbook, including dense text, poor organisation, and a lack of engaging visuals. The findings revealed a strong preference for features such as infographics, timelines, tactile elements, and interactive tools, including QR codes that link to supplementary content. The project employed a user-centred design methodology, beginning with data collection and analysis to understand user preferences. Concept development involved brainstorming ideas for visual enhancements, interactivity, and content accessibility, followed by prototyping and iterative testing to refine the designs. The outcome is a redesigned textbook integrating modern visuals, interactive elements, and simplified layouts, fostering inclusivity and engagement in history education. This innovative approach highlights the potential for multisensory learning materials to improve educational outcomes and serve as a model for redesigning textbooks across other subjects. Future research should explore the scalability of these designs.
