Dyslexia is one of the most common learning difficulties, yet many cases go undetected, especially at the secondary school level. Without proper screening, students at risk may not receive the support they need, which can affect their academic progress. This study aims to develop and evaluate a dyslexia screening tool suitable for secondary school students. A total of 2,000 students participated in the study, and the data were analysed using the Rasch Measurement Model. The results show that the instrument has good psychometric properties and can distinguish students who are at risk of dyslexia. The findings highlight the importance of implementing early screening in schools to ensure that students with learning needs are identified and supported appropriately. Without screening, many students with dyslexia may continue to struggle in silence.
