Virtual Booth

Distracted walking at school crosswalks significantly increases collision risks for students. This project introduces Smart Intersection Safety, an AI-powered intervention system developed via PictoBlox. The system employs a two-tier detection logic: first, it utilizes Object Detection to identify a human entering the "virtual" crosswalk zone; second, it triggers AI Handphone Detection to determine if a device is being held. If both conditions are met, an immediate verbal warning—"Heads up! Look at the road!"—is activated. Aligning with SDG 11, this solution transforms passive infrastructure into active guardians, effectively breaking the "digital trance" to protect vulnerable road users.
