The Smart Energy Guardian is an AI-powered energy-saving system designed to reduce electricity waste in classrooms. The project uses a HuskyLens AI camera to detect human presence and an Arduino microcontroller to process the data and control electrical devices such as lights and fans.

The system is activated using a manual button. Once activated, the AI camera continuously monitors the classroom. When human presence is detected, the devices remain switched on. If no person is detected for 30 seconds, the system automatically turns off the devices to conserve energy. To restart the system, the button must be pressed again.

A relay module is used to safely control high-voltage electrical devices using low-voltage signals from the Arduino. The system is powered using rechargeable batteries, making it environmentally friendly and aligned with the theme “AI for Social Good.”

This project demonstrates how artificial intelligence and simple electronics can be combined to create a practical, efficient, and sustainable solution for everyday energy management in schools.
