This project develops a practical, low cost system for early detection of water leaks in indoor plumbing by analysing acoustic signals. The system combines a MAX9814 microphone as the sensing element, a PCM1802 for high quality digitisation, an ESP32 microcontroller for real time audio capture and spectral analysis, and an Arduino Uno R3 as the control, logging and alerting unit. The design objective is to detect the characteristic sound signatures of leaking pipes beneath floor, convert those sounds into measurable frequency components, and present a simple, reliable alarm indication using three LEDs.
