We designed this product to help anyone with impaired hearing drive safer and more efficiently. When driving, it is dangerous for them as they are unable to hear the noises from other cars or from people on the street. While this does not directly impact their ability to drive, it may prevent them from realising for example, a car honking at them. Our solution is to arm the car with multiple sound sensors installed around the vehicle (front, rear, left and right). Any sound input such as honks, sirens and shouting which will indicate the driver through LEDs on the dashboard according to the direction the sound comes from. To expand more on the sound detector, it will be able to classify certain common sounds which will be sent to the dashboard. The signals can be color coded, making it easier for the driver to remember. Not only that, the driver seat has vibration motors to be able to alert the driver, which will be beneficial if they are not looking at the dashboard. Overall the pricing of this product will be low, affordable to many citizens either abroad or in Malaysia. The potential is unlimited as the product can be continuously modified and improved with each model produced. This will definitely make the driver feel at ease as it helps them notice other drivers on the road, as the driver has more time to react for any emergency.
