Coconut (Cocos Nucifera) is a highly nutritious plant, and it is the community’s choice to quench thirst as well as for medical purposes.
However, used coconuts are often overlooked for their usefulness. It continues to be dumped in landfills and becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Dried coconuts are also usually burned, which causes air pollution and carbon production, which is harmful to our health. The use of plastic polybags in the plantation sector has a negative impact on the environment and interferes with tree growth because it does not decompose in the soil. The CoMo Gen-2 product was created to help overcome the problem of using plastic polybags in agriculture by reusing coconut fiber along with other waste materials, and it involves very minimal cost. It also integrates the use of Moringa Oleifera leaf powder, a highly nutritious superfood, as organic fertilizer, and shrimp shell powder (a source of Chitosan) to improve the quality of the soil. This product is produced by using coconut husks, dried moringa leaf powder, shrimp shell powder, egg box, eggshell, and tapioca flour as adhesive agents. This product also acts as a natural organic compost and potting fertilizer. As a result, the seedlings that have been sown can be directly transplanted into the soil without having to remove the layer that protects the soil. CoMo Gen-2, the best choice to produce organic polybags instead of plastic polybags, is environmentally friendly, low-cost, and ensures environmental sustainability.
