The IoT-Based Real-Time Smart Key Tracking System is a groundbreaking solution aimed at addressing key management issues through the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies. The objective of this project is to develop a secure and automated system for real-time tracking and access control of keys, aiming to eliminate manual errors, reduce operational delays, and provide a scalable and cost-effective solution for institutions such as educational facilities, vehicle dealerships, and corporate offices. The methodology involves using RFID for user authentication, cloud storage via Firebase for real-time data logging, and a mobile app for users to track the status and movements of keys. Additionally, the system integrates a tilt sensor to detect tampering, triggering alerts when unauthorized access is attempted. The results demonstrate the successful automation of the key management process, where every action, whether a key is retrieved or returned, is securely logged in the cloud, providing real-time tracking and increasing operational efficiency. The conclusion emphasizes that this system significantly improves security, transparency, and accountability in key management, offering a more reliable and efficient solution compared to traditional methods. It provides a model for modernizing key management systems, making them more secure and user-friendly, with broad applicability across various sectors.
