This project presents the development of an Automatic Clothesline System using the Arduino microcontroller platform. The main objective is to assist users in managing laundry drying more efficiently, especially during unpredictable weather conditions. The system is equipped with a rain sensor and a light-dependent resistor (LDR) to detect environmental changes. When rain is detected, the clothesline automatically retracts using a servo or DC motor to prevent clothes from getting wet. Once clear weather is detected, the system extends the clothesline back outside. The system can be further enhanced with WiFi or Bluetooth modules for remote monitoring and control via a smartphone. This project helps save time, protects clothing from unexpected rain, and enhances daily convenience. It also supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12: Responsible Consumption and Production by promoting the use of technology to conserve resources and energy.
