Apple fruit sugar is a natural sweetener derived from apple peel and flesh as a healthier alternative to refined sugar. This study aims to develop a nutritious and sustainable sweetener that supports healthy dietary practices while aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3 on good health and well-being and SDG 12 on responsible consumption and production. The product is developed through the process of drying and grinding apple peel and flesh into a fine powder. Data were collected using questionnaires to identify consumer needs and preferences toward natural sweeteners. A prototype was then developed with emphasis on functionality and attractive packaging design. Product testing was conducted to evaluate user acceptance in terms of taste, texture, and usability, and the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings show that 84% of respondents preferred Gula Epal as a natural sweetener. This product demonstrates strong potential to reduce refined sugar consumption, reduce apple peel waste and offer a cost-effective and sustainable natural sweetener with strong commercialization potential.
