Proper feeding routines are essential for pets’ health, but many pet owners struggle with finding a convenient and hygienic way to store and dispense pet food. To address this issue, a team of three Form 5 students has developed a DIY manual pet feeder as part of an innovation project. The goal is to create an affordable, easy-to-use, and durable feeder that simplifies pet care.

Our design features a manual dispensing system, where pet owners can release food by either opening a sliding door, pressing a lever, or turning a knob. This method allows for portion control, reducing the risk of food waste or overeating. The feeder is made using recycled materials to promote sustainability, and its simple structure makes it easy to maintain.
