The wire winding machine is a device that facilitates the automatic winding process. This study aims to develop an efficient and safe wire winding machine. Manual wire winding often results in uneven wire tension and increases the risk of injury to users. Therefore, this study was conducted to design and test the effectiveness of the wire winding machine. The research methodology includes the process of generating design ideas, creating product sketches, producing engineering drawings, building prototypes, and testing the machine. The findings indicate that using the wire winding machine improves accuracy and consistency in the winding process. Additionally, force analysis on the machine’s main components revealed that the maximum Von Mises Stress value is 506,000,00 MPa. This value far exceeds the yield strength of mild steel, which is 207 MPa, highlighting the need for improvements in material selection. Recommendations for improvements from this study include enhancing the structural durability of the machine and adapting the design to be more universal, allowing it to be used for various types and sizes of wires. With these improvements, the wire winding machine can be more widely utilized in industries and small workshops.
