Arabic language learning continues to face a persistent challenge whereby students struggle to retain and apply vocabulary meaningfully due to the widespread use of memorization-based teaching approaches. This often results in low engagement, limited comprehension, and reduced confidence in language usage. To address this issue, Lughah Map was developed as an AI-powered gamified Arabic learning platform that transforms vocabulary acquisition into an immersive, contextual, and experiential learning journey. Built using Unity and C#, the platform integrates interactive 3D environments, object-based exploration, real-time pronunciation support, and an intelligent AI assistant (Ceri.AI) powered by Gemini API, enabling learners to experience language rather than merely memorize it. Unlike many educational prototypes, Lughah Map has been successfully deployed since April 2026 at Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (SASHHB) and several Arabic schools across Brunei Darussalam, where it is currently being utilized in authentic classroom settings. The implementation has demonstrated measurable improvements in student engagement, vocabulary comprehension, learning motivation, and classroom participation. The innovation has also gained recognition from educational leaders and international visitors, including senior educational representatives from the Sultanate of Oman, who commended the platform’s practical application and transformative potential in Arabic language education. By combining artificial intelligence, gamification, immersive learning, and curriculum-aligned content within a single ecosystem, Lughah Map offers a scalable and sustainable solution for modern language learning. The project directly supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), contributes to SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and aligns with the aspirations of Wawasan Brunei 2035 in developing highly skilled, future-ready learners. With proven deployment, growing institutional adoption, and strong international scalability, Lughah Map represents a next-generation educational innovation capable of redefining how Arabic is taught and experienced worldwide.
