Electric vehicles (EVs) are transforming transportation, but their success depends on accessible and well-planned charging infrastructure. This research develops a location framework for photovoltaic electric vehicle charging stations (PEVCS) in Malaysia, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods. By evaluating six main criteria and twelve sub-criteria, and integrating expert input using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), the study identifies ideal PEVCS locations. The resulting suitability map supports policymakers and urban planners in building efficient charging networks. This research bridges innovation with practicality, accelerating the transition to sustainable cities and a greener future.
