NephrIQ is a non-invasive eco friendly biosensor designed to detect early kidney stress bu measuring saliva urea levels, a reliable biochemical marker. The strip uses soybean-derived urease, which hydrolyzes urea into ammonia, increasing pH and causing a colour change in natural pigments from hibiscus and beetroot, rich in anthocyanins and betalains. A Teachable Machine AI model analyses the colour intensity and, integrated via an AI apps, classifies kidney stress as Normal, Moderate, or High Risk. NephrIQ provides a safe, rapid, affordable, and accessible screening method, suitable for schools, rural clinics, and community health programs.
